Bring Your Own Brand Workshop

Creating and curating better images
for your online teaching brand

Imagine you can…

• make people trust you the moment they meet you online

• spend less time creating images for your brand, with better results

• feel proud of how your brand looks

Attention is the currency of the Internet. It doesn’t matter how great and life-changing your work is if you can’t make people stop scrolling their social media feeds and listen to you.

But attention itself doesn’t buy you money; trust does. After you get people’s attention, you only have a few seconds to persuade them that they should listen and trust you because:

• you are talking to them about things they want to hear about,

• they’re better off listening to you rather than other people who talk about the same things, because

• you are a legit, professional business person (not a hobby blogger), and

• at the same time, you are a living, breathing, fun and relatable human being (not a shapeless entity, sleazy marketer, or an impersonal corporation).

All of this can, of course, be done using visuals.

The fastest way to your audience’s brain (and heart)

Human brain processes images much faster than text, and 90 percent of information transmitted to the brain is visual.

In other words, people decide whether they trust you or not long before they read your words or check your “work with me” page.

That also means that “I’m not a visual type” or “my audience don’t care about images” is a crappy excuse. There’s no such thing as visual and non-visual types of people. Images work on us whether we consider ourselves “visual” or not.

I’m Veronika Palovska,

a designer, writer, and teacher, the author of the Do You Speak Freedom blog and several books for online teachers and coaches, and the co-founder of the Smart Teacher’s Library — a community and membership for online teachers.

Since 2016, I’ve been helping online teachers with branding, marketing, and design so they can build an independent business instead of selling their souls on online teaching marketplaces.

Now, let’s face it. Most people in the online teaching (and not just!) industry don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to visuals.

Here are some of the not-that-awesome (but typical) images used by online teachers:

Now, the good news is that anyone can improve their skills when it comes to creating better visuals — even if they have zero talent, no Photoshop, and little experience.

Even if you just improve by 5%, you’ll be way ahead.

Here, being ahead means more attention, better visibility, more trust.

Here’s what my clients were able to do with their images after we worked together:

(Note: I didn’t create the “after” images for them, I just gave them a few tips.)

PSST, this workshop goes way beyond image templates.

Image templates (such as the ones you can see above) help you save time and stay consistent, but when you only use templates, your social media presence gets too monotonous, impersonal, and boring.

That’s why during the workshop, I show you real-life examples of what you can do to go beyond templates and be more creative, human, and authentic.

I’m trying out the techniques and they work! I’m getting way better engagement than I ever did and I’m super motivated to post on social in a way that I never was before!
